Fun day today!  The highlight was an early evening trip to the forest with the kids to pluck blueberries.  The blueberries grow on low bushes here, but if you find the right place, they're everywhere.  Audrey and Chester and I went to forest and plucked some berries, thoroughly turning our fingers purple in the process. When we brought them home, Laura turned them into yummy yummy blueberry crepes with lemon sauce (sooooooooo good - recipe behind the cut, along with the rest of the pics).  Earlier today, the kids decided they wanted to play Halloween, so they dressed up in some costumes and went trick or treating to where I was hanging out in the playhouse.  It was fun!

Chester couldn't fall asleep tonight, so we finally just let him stay up and talk to us while we folded the laundry.  This picture was taken at 9:30 p.m. -   1 1/2 hours after the kids' regular bedtime.

We finally got our summer tires put on the car today (Why? Because we had to buy new ones so we kept procrastinating).  We also got new rims, because we put our winter tires on the old rims, and they're pretty beat up now. So, um, yeah, that's about it.  We'll have 'em on our car for four whole months before we have to put the winter ones back on. :)

Such a fun day.  A bunch of guys from church (about 30 total - 2 congregations) got together to go canoeing.  We drove out to the place, canoed for about 4 hours (partly through a stretch of connected lakes, and partly through a canal), ate lunch, canoed some more, and finally got home at about 9:30.  It was a really fun day, though, and I'm surprisingly not as sore as I thought I would be!

Laura gets photo-a-day props for this one!  We recently got a bouncy thing for Timothy that you hang in the doorway.  He loves it!  He loves it so much, he sleeps in it!  So cute.  I get last-minute-of-the-day props for my shot!  We also pulled out the guitar again tonight, because we had some friends over that really play the guitar (unlike me, who fakes it pretty poorly).

Big day today - We gave Timothy a hair cut!  His hair was a little bit out of control.  Audrey was the official photographer for the event (she forgets to take her hand off the flash sometimes :).  Then we went to Skansen, and then, because it was such a nice day, we pulled out sprinklers to let the kids run through them for awhile.  They didn't dare get too close, though!

Laura picked the subject today - our sleeping kids.  Audrey's been really funny lately.  She thinks that sleeping on the floor is cool, and she has to "watch over Twilla (her stuffed cat) while she sleeps."  You can see Twilla in her little bed.

I got a new toy today!  It's so much fun.  This little baby fits into the sole of my shoe, and transmits a little signal to my iPod while I run.  My iPod then tracks how far and fast I've traveled, my average speed per mile, etc. etc. etc.  I love it.  It also uploads all my runs to this website, so I can get a nice overview of what I've been doing.

Yard work is fun!  OK, not really, but if I have to do it to live in a house, I'll do it.  I mowed the lawn for the first time since I was 17 today, and then Chester and I washed the car together.  Fun days!  This evening, we went to the BIG Young Ambassador's concert in Stockholm.  The kids loved it.  Chester didn't turn his head once during the entire show, it seemed.  His only disappointment was that they didn't sing "Seventy-six Trombones," his current favorite song.

Paid bills today.  Swedish banks issue these little fobs.  Not only do you have to know your log-in and your PIN, but you have to get an extra number from this little device to log in.  It's a pretty neat (and secure!) little system.

This is me... not happy.  Today was a tough day at church.  Timothy totally blew out his diaper (how bad?  on his shoulder bad), then he puked all over my suit coat (which I took off), then all over my shirt (which would have caused a scandal to take off).  I was pretty beat by the end of the services.

Bus cards changed color again!  Sometimes I think that the drivers only look at the color and not the actual dates on the cards.  Hmmm.  I always make sure mine is valid anyway, so I'll never know.

We're sick.  Laura and the kids stayed home from church today.  I felt fine but now as I'm updating this (on the 15th!), I'm starting to feel a bit crummy as well.  Yuck.
