Remember the strawberry from a few days back? Well tonight it was ready to pick and eat. Of course, we had to split it four ways, so everyone just got a little taste, but it was still yummy!

Our little guy just keeps getting cuter and cuter - although he's been doing a really annoying thing where he gets up at 5:00-ish in the morning and just wants to play, but we adore him anyway. Tonight was our weekly webcam session with my folks. Speaking of moving pictures on computer screens, we finally created a YouTube page on which to host our videos - hopefully this means that you'll get more moving pictures instead of just stills. Laura spent quite a bit of time and prepped about, um five or six videos for your enjoyment. You should CHECK THEM OUT!!! ( +1 )

I'm not really an herb tea person, but today it just hit the spot. It's been kind of cold/rainy for a few days in a row now, the kind of weather where you want to curl up with a hot drink and just snuggle with someone.

10 years ago, I was a missionary in a TINY congregation in Hudiksvall - maybe 13-ish at services on average... If the Borgenfalk family with their 5 kids came! Fast forward 10 years, the older of the Borgenfalk boys, Hans, just got home from his mission to Oslo. So Laura and I took the kids and we drove out to where they're living now to go to Hans's homecoming party. It was fun (the pic of Chester in the midst of a balloon war is my pic). It's amazing how much time had passed, and yet the friendship and love was still there (at least I felt it!). I was surprised I recognized all the kids - can you match them to their before pic at the bottom of the page? ( +2 )

A very big day in every baby's life. Timothy had his first 'solid' food today. He dug it.

Our friends from Manila took a Scandinavian cruise with a final stop in Stockholm - so we got to hang out with them this evening. It was so much fun! We haven't seen them for 4 years, and they really are wonderful people we admire. I was really happy we got to see them again.

*Note* - I didn't want to clog up everyone's friends/notes lists. Therefore, I only put a few of the better pictures from over the last 3 weeks up, and then backdated the rest. Feel free to browse through this, or my other site (www.thekochco.com/today) to see all the pics. I am, however, finally caught up everywhere with my PAD. Don't expect me to be regular in the near future, however. With training for my big race and a lot of company in town, I expect my PAD to be fairly sporadic until the fall. Sorry!

I asked Audrey what I should take a picture of today... Green! She said. Green what? I asked. Ummmmm.... Green block. She said. And there you have it.

Such a fun day. A bunch of guys from church (about 30 total - 2 congregations) got together to go canoeing. We drove out to the place, canoed for about 4 hours (partly through a stretch of connected lakes, and partly through a canal), ate lunch, canoed some more, and finally got home at about 9:30. It was a really fun day, though, and I'm surprisingly not as sore as I thought I would be!

I love how light it is here! This was taken from my deck, as I was stretching after my run, at 10:06 p.m. It won't be completely dark until midnight, and then it will be light again at 3:00. I love it!

Since I've been running more, the battery on my iPod has been dying faster (go fig), and hence needs to charge more often. I don't really mind, because then it uploads my runs at the same time, and I like that.

I went to an award ceremony tonight. Princess Victoria (white pants) was presenting the award. It was my first time seeing the Crown Princess (my first time seeing royalty, actually). It was kind of neat!

Laura gets photo-a-day props for this one! We recently got a bouncy thing for Timothy that you hang in the doorway. He loves it! He loves it so much, he sleeps in it! So cute. I get last-minute-of-the-day props for my shot! We also pulled out the guitar again tonight, because we had some friends over that really play the guitar (unlike me, who fakes it pretty poorly).
( +1 more of Timothy and my lame one )

I was very happy to find out that we had lilac bushes (trees?) in our back yard - they've been abloom lately, and smell so wonderful. It's been interesting to note the later growing season because we're so far north - our friends in Kyiv had their lilacs about a month ago, and our daffodils and tulips came about a month after the ones in Utah did. So, we're late bloomers, but at least we get 20 hours of sunshine!

A very busy day today, with a lot of running around. The highlight, though was a trip to the local farm with some of our friends. The farm is a working farm, but visitors are free to just roam around the place and look at the animals. The best part was the goats. They were far away in the field, but literally came running over once they saw the kids. Later, I was in downtown Stockholm and took a picture of the South part of town from the Old part of town.

These little flowers are all over our yard. They're probably a weed, but I like them because they give our lawn a nice meadow-y feel. Audrey likes them because, well, they're cute little flowers.
